Whether you are a parent, grandparent or caregiver, a doctor, teacher, business owner, community service provider or local government, you are an important part of making your community a healthier place for kids!
Evidence has shown that childhood health promotion is most effective when the whole community is on board. This requires community stakeholders from all sectors to partner together and collaborate to share a consistent message, as well as support that message through policy, practice and environmental changes that make it easier for kids to make healthy choices.
Local action across multiple settings means that children will hear one consistent, clear message and be supported in living that message wherever they go in the community.
SCOPE helps to support this community engagement process through direct community coaching and free, adaptable Live 5-2-1-0 resources. SCOPE also provides the platform through which Live 5-2-1-0 communities across BC can exchange knowledge and share ideas, tools, and strategies.
